At SunSnow Event Co., our farmers markets are more than just places to shop—they’re vibrant gatherings designed to foster a sense of community and promote a healthy, sustainable lifestyle for South Lake Tahoe locals and visitors alike. Rain or shine, we’re here to connect you directly with the farmers and artisans who make Tahoe special. To help preserve the region’s fresh mountain air, we encourage patrons to bike, walk, or carpool whenever possible.
Our markets feature a variety of fresh, locally grown produce, including fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs, and honey. You’ll also find freshly baked goods, beautiful flowers, unique arts and crafts, and much more. And don’t forget to grab a delicious meal from one of our incredible food truck vendors before you go!
As a non-profit organization, SunSnow Event Co. is proud to host two CA Certified Farmers Markets (CFM)—Meyers Mountain Market and Ski Run Farmers Market—bringing farm-fresh goodness directly to South Lake Tahoe.
What is a CFM?
As a California Certified Farmers Market (CFM), SunSnow Event Company is a step above other farmers’ markets. A CFM is a place where farmers sell their own crops directly to the public. Before a farmer can sell his or her crop(s) at a Certified Farmers Market, the County Agricultural Commissioner inspects the farm to make sure the farmer is, in fact, growing the crop he or she is selling. The direct marketing of agricultural products through CFMs eliminates packing, shipping, and third-party handling and ensures that consumers are purchasing safe, nutritious, vine and tree-ripened fruit and vegetables grown in California and certified by the State.
